Brent Curdy, PhD
DATA ANALYST & INDEPENDENT EDUCATOR
Collaboration and camaraderie are extremely important to me. Whether as a team member or a supervisor, I work best in concert with others. I’ve worked as a member of translator teams in the military, supervised and scheduled a dozen workers in a social psychology lab, and worked with one, two, and three-person research teams conducting all the projects described on my Resume & CV page.
I am self-motivated and work well independently. I generate new ideas, research, and write on my own and present my insights in an easy-to-understand digestible format.
However, I prefer the energy and enthusiasm that arises from teamwork. As a team member or as a director, I would never assign a task to someone that I wouldn’t be willing to do myself, but neither would I micromanage tasks: trust, respect, and delegation are the most efficient and effective means to accomplish team goals.
We live in an era of Big Data. We live in an increasingly interconnected world. Technology is generating more data and more interconnectivity, but it is also supplying us with powerful tools to make sense of things. Here on my site, I share tutorials to help others use some of those tools as well as some of my own work. There's so much to learn and do - let's go!
